Leaders  - "Every Scout deserves a well trained Leader"

Deliver the Promise (Committee job) – Adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility (“Playing with a purpose”)

One parent from each Scout should volunteer to have a successful program.  Choose to either do logistics or operations and go to training.

  • Logistics (Committee) - planning to deliver the promise, 1 hour a week

  • Operations (SM and ASM) - provide Safty and mentoring - 1 hour per Scout per week (attend weekly meeting and campouts)

The expectations to lead or mentor are really simple.  We all have different talents and experiences.  Infusing our diversities in our young men builds stronger men.

Qualification:  Have a pulse and willing to have a little fun.
Expectations:
  • Leader –  Coordinate the event the event with the committee and be the main point of contact.  I can assist with communications if needed.
  • Mentor – Be there a for safety and have some fun.

None trained leader units are not covered with the BSA insurance

Board of Review (BOR):  The board of review is how the troop committee (or the Eagle Scout board of review) tracks the progress of a Scout to determine his understanding of the ideals of Scouting and how he applies them in daily life in the troop.  The link below provides excellent interview questions.  Our Advancement Chair coordinates the BOR.
